this and that....

So not too much going on here, Shyama is looking forward to getting outta town next week for Justin's bachelor party and i am looking forward to watching girly movies w/o listening to him sigh endlessly, starting my garden and going dancin with the girls! Here are some photos from this and that....

this is a black necked stilt, they are water birds that visit our detention pond on base over winter. they are real pretty and i like the reflection i got of this one:) and the other bird is a logger-head shrike, they catch lizards and before eating them they kill them by impailing them on cactus needles...i really hope to witness this!

I went to my girlfriend's house last weekend and taught her and another one of my friends the fabulous life skill of knitting! It is the wierdest thing thinking about what we did in our spare time 6 years ago compared to now:)

And here he is with his bike and gear!

Here we are on the bike together!! Shyam insisted on having me wear his gear..I'm so happy and he's so hardcore!

we drove out to this community that had a man made pond for its residents sure seemed like a lot of wasted water but the coots and the wigeons enjoyed it:)

This is a picture of park out front of our house after the storm. The rains that we got last week were intense. i thought our roof was gonna blow right off! Monsoon season isn't even thatbad. two of our work trucks back window got blown out w/ wind gusts in Gila Bend at 85 mph and the roads on the range actually got washed out so we could not monitor last friday-it was pretty crazy! take care and just let us know when you wanna skype again:)

  1. Awesome picks as usual! You have quite an eye for photography, I really like the lone, stoic water fowl with its perfect reflection. Take one stoic bird transposed against one stoic motorcyclist and you have, well, something cool I suppose.

The man-made lake in the desert does sound wasteful. And trust me, I know wasteful. I watch people stuff their face full of food and then throw away whatever didn't make it down their pie hole.

Sorry to hear about the scary weather and damage to your work trucks. At least you got some time off :) Kind of a weird way to get a half day.

We should Skype soon, but I don't have much new news. I could ramble on about serving, but then I would look down at my image on my monitor and see myself rambling about waiting tables. But I digress, we should Skype soon.

    Take care,
    sh
