1st Adoption Bday and Pics of "Best Visit Ever!"

A fun little video of Furface...

Thanks so much for coming to the east coast, it went by way too fast.  Poor Riggs was moping around for a day or two and then he decided that he needed constant attention to counteract the friends withdrawal.  You guys made a new friend for sure.

Take care and hopefully I can get my shit together here and visit you two in the jungle :)

Here are some pics I had on my phone:

Ha! I love these pictures!  Thanks again for the great times!

la Paz, BCS

Hola friends!

We went on vacation and started it in LA last Sunday night. We hopped around to some cool places including a bar called Melody Bar and Grill. Inside the bar/restaurant there was a game that you play $2 to play and it is just like the claw that gets you a stuffed animal but instead it is a claw that you guide into an aquarium to catch a live lobster!!!! If either of you uncools got a fb account you woulda seen it last week. I shall text you the picture; as a biologist I am totally against it but as an American what a fabulous idea....oh yeah, if you catch a lobster they will cook it for you..duh!?

We flew outta LA and started south. It was pretty cool to see the CA coastline from the lil plane and then we got down to Baja and it became so barren south of Ensenada. It's not a blog from Amanda unless some pictures are outta order:)

If you dbl click on this you will see a pipefish swimming just below the water in the middle. They were pretty cool.

The sea lions were ridiculously playful and friendly. I still feared that they would bite my arm just because it looked meaty...or any part of me for that matter.

Seriously, just like Riggs...always playing!

This is some sort of rockfish or sculpin. Not sure, but it looked just like a rock and Shyama was actually standing right beside it adjusting his snorkel mask above the water. crazy.

We were in school with the fish!

There is a starfish, almost, dead center. I think it's a sunshine starfish.

Another cool star fish.

All good in the underwater hood.

seafish.

a sea egg, I originally called it a sea biscuit.

a really cool sea fish

starfish of sort

Happy Birthday, honey!

el playa de Tecolote.

Our palapa at la playa de Tecolote.

No, we didn't bring edibles.

Yummy, maragaritas!! We had no idea what was in store for dinner. I wish I would have taken more photos of food.

before dinner, after margaritas!

el Malecon, this is the promenade or 'malecon' they call it. It is right downtown and this is a photo taken from our boat headed out into the bay.

This is a whale shark.

This is a whale shark coming at you. Lucky you weren't swimming in front of it like Shyama...

This is a whale shark underneath your boat..almost capsizing..not really, but it kinda felt like it when the boat bumped the whale or shark.

An island off la isla el Espiritu Santo.

Sea Lion colony.

the rocks off the island.

rocks, islands.

playa de balandra. We rented snorkel equipment and went out on a different reef. It was pretty cool to be out there by ourselves.

sunshine, yes please!

cliff sides to some of the water.
blue footed BOOBIES!!!!!

Still from the boat.

a hotel bar on top of 7 floors looking down on el Malecon.

Birthday lunch! Tacos de tripe and coctel de camarones.

a porcupine fish all puffed up on the beach...dead.

Happy 32nd, Honey!

In Mexico, not only are you killing yourself by smoking but you are (apparently, also) killing the mouses, too!

playa de Balandra.

sunset at Tecolote.

a night in the room can be just as fun.

Happy Birthday, Shyam! I cannot wait to do it again, oxox!
