Our Journey down to Arizona

Dude, what the F with all the open spaces, this woulda been like 40 pages if i had not gone back through and edited! :(

Hey guys, i know this is coming up late but here goes, I am on hour 2 and just about to start our Mexico post!!!!! Ay, Ay, ARriba, arriba:) I may still have extensive amounts of tequila in me....

So I realize now, a little late that as i post these they will be showing up backwards but i can only do so much...I think i finally understand how to do a posting with text and pictures without messing up too bad:)

Day 1, I saw a lot of this and this. Sheep and the back of the Prev-Mobile attached to the pain in the ass, piece of crap Budget rental. I had never taken the I-5 down through OR it was nice...much nicer than the I-5 through central and southern CA!!

Mount Shasta in the distance wish i could have gotten better pictures, it was so beautiful!
Ahhh, all for you Taj!! We spent our first night in Weed, CA, the idea was that the sun was going down and i wanted to get pictures of Mt. Shasta in the morning since we were driving for sunset:( Unfortunately, it was super cloudy the next day and i could see nothing.
We found that the only place you can have a beer with food is at the bowling alley. We had the best pizza ever with a pitcher of Fat Tire and watched the Yankees lose to the Phillies:) I took no pictures of Day 2 from Weed to Fresno. Leaving WEed was beautiful but after that it got pretty ugly/boring down to Fresno and multiple stops to clean up cat puke or cat shit just made me want to get to a hotel ASAP! WE did, however, find the best Chinese food in Fresno, had it delivered and sat on the bed for hours before getting back onto the road:)

This was after being stuck in L.A. traffic for like 3 hours , lame-o! but on our way
out of the city!!

Finally to Justin's after lotsa traffic, we grilled some kabobs and drank lotsa beer while watching the sunset! very rewarding!

Harvest moon and the pumpkin patch, Yucaipa, CA

Justin took us up here the second day we were in town, he lives in what seems to be desert but just up about 30 minutes is plush forest.
The San Giorgio Mountains in the San Bernadino Forest just outside Yucaipa, CA

Another perfect climbing tree, Steve, go get em!

Lake Jenks, wayyyy up into the Giorgio Mountains of the San Bernadino Forest, just gorgeous! Again, a little mess up but i know you all can tell the forest from the lake!

Justin and Shyam both rocking Chicago Tees, ironic since both are from CA and ironic enough i was in a CA brew festival t-shirt:)

Critters of LAke Jenks..well some, a squirrel and a duck, i wont bore you guys with all the bird pics i took:)..unless you want me to. I got an Acorn Woodpecker, a junco and a stellar jay??? anyone????

2 flats and 1500 miles later this was our picturesque homecoming on top of sitting on the side of I-10 for 3 hours waiting for the trailor tire to be replaced, 80 miles outside of Buckeye.

I saw lots sheep on the way down and a lot of the back of a Budget Truck towing The Prev-mobile, i know not very exciting:) esspecially considering you both had just taken this drive! I have an idea though; Taj, when you come to AZ you have to take the 95 down through ID! It is spectacular and you can take it all the way to Vegas. This is the way that my dad moved me up to Pullman. oops, i need to go backwards, DAMNIT!
