Yosemite/Virginia Pics October 2009

A dizzying effect these trees have on the mind. When we got to Yosemite Valley we got out and took some pics. Is this not the most perfect tree to climb? Not that I would, but it is basically natures latter.

Upper Yosemite Falls, North Americas highest waterfall. I can only imagine what it must look like when the snow is melting and it is at its most intense. What a perfect day in late October to witness such amazing scenes. I can not believe that there were to many other days like today in 2009.

El Capiton.

I can see why climbers are drawn to this mountain side. It was impossible to tell if there were people climbing it right then. I like to believe there were.

This was a view of a waterfall from the base of the Yosemite Valley. I believe it is the Upper Yosemite Falls. Most of the waterfalls were supposed to be dried up during the Fall season but we were lucky as they were not.

An overview of the Yosemite Valley with Bridalveil Falls way in the distance. It was a little crowded at the top from this vantage point, but the view was great none-the-less.

Ahh, a valley east of the Blue Ridge. Those colors are the Hokie maroon and orange. The clouds were a bit overcast, but the scene was just fine. Virginia is probably at its most beautiful in the Fall.

Take Care Everybody,
Steve
