I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! We realized it was our first Thanksgiving by ourselves and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Watched football and movies ate and drank all day long:)
To start with we had bacon and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms and homemad
e crab rangoons.
Please note the original plan (as seen above) was to take a photo of the food just before we served ourselves...unfortunately the opposite happened:) So here goes; turkey, gr chile and poblano stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, corn casserole and green bean casserole=delish-is-ness!!
The friday after Thanksgiving was my first day to be in the field by myself, a little nervewrecking but there was only 2 of us so the pressure was a bit off and my boss was outta town. That tiny white thing down there...that is my work truck 4 door Silverado, giddy up cowgirl (my coworkers all have Rangers-:p)
This was my view as the sun rose. Being able to take pictures of the sunrise from different hillsides/mountain tops will help me not be nervous when i am out there at dawn by myself:) And hopefully one day we will have some clouds in the sky to make the sunrise better!

I'm glad you guys had a nice Thanksgiving. It looks like you had all the right food. I love the work pics too. That is one hell of a sunrise. But I thought you were supposed to be looking for white tails when the sun comes up, not taking pictures. :) Oh yeah, careful with the bird feeding. My friends in Tucson had some family come visit and they brought bird feeders. One big, one small and one hummingbird feeder. They put them up and within days all the birds in the neighborhood were visiting. The bird shit is still all over the patio. They went through tons of bird seed and then they started attracting other animals. A large bird of prey started picking off birds and actually hit the house during a kill. Just food for thought, the desert is a strange place. I hope you both are enjoying all the football this weekend, it has been awesome for me, everytime I turn on the tv there is a game, sweetness. ReplyDeletei would LOVE to see a Cooper's or Sharp-Shinned hawk pick off a bird at my birdfeeder! I think i had a hummer die? and the bees are all over that feeder:( i stopped feeding the birds cuz i want to see more than just the 'regulars'
