So I went up to Connecticut for a few days to hang out with Nick in a small town called Chaplin. The drive up to Nick's took about ten hours and had some good views.

The first thing I had to do was cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It is 21 miles long, has two underwater tunnels and one expansion bridge. It is unbelievable how long it takes to cross the bridge. There was an amazing shine off the water from the sun and in the distance were these huge ships. The ships could of been military, maybe aircraft carriers or destroyers.

I got stuck in outside Philly and decided to take a picture of the skyline in the distance. As I took the pic a guy and his wife in the car behind started honking his horn and flashing his lights at me. Welcome to Philly! We were in stopped traffic and only one car length had opened up in front of me. So I turned the camera around and dramatically took a picture of the couple over my shoulder. I ended up taking a pic of the back seat but the result was hilarious, the wife covered her face and the car backed off and disappeared behind me in the traffic. Fuckin awesome! Watch out for crazy guy with a camera!

I drove to Rhode Island, Mass., New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont in a 12 hour drive. It was a great experience, the only problem was that it was 12 hours of driving straight, no breaks. So I only got this one decent pic of Vermont, which happens to be my 49th state. Only Hawaii left. We did play 9 holes of golf at the Twin Hills Country Club, it was alot of fun but that's what the loser always says. Nick shot a 48 and I shot a 55. Ya ya go Nick.

Nick has an awesome dog named Teddy. He was so much fun to play with, just a lovable, goofy, well behaved pup.

Gotta end with the bugs, they were pretty bad. Well take care everyone, there is a hurricane swinging by here tonight and no one seems to care. Everyone's been playing it cool here. I stocked up on frozen pizza, in hindsight maybe I should of got water or something. Nah.

hey dude, looks like you had a nice trip there, road trips are always fun. i like your story about the road rage guy in gridlock, thats hilarious! i'm totally gonna do that next time someone's being a dick on the road, maybe take a pic of their license plate too...
ReplyDeletewell, its good to see that you got outta town and had some friend time. nick's dog looks pretty cute too. and talk about having the woods out your back door, thats awesome!
we got some good pics from our labor day trip to cali too, will have to post those soon. i been working 4 10's and enjoying 3 day weekends, but this gig is up at the end of the month, so hopefully soon i'll hear whether or not i have any future prospects there. but for now i'm enjoying having some cash in the bank. took the bike to the mechanic to get the carbuerator worked on and did a bunch of other little things that i been putting off for months cuz of being broke, so that feels pretty good.
anyways, take care of yourself out there. i'm sure you're busy enjoying some football right now, as am i :D
