We went to San Clemente, CA for labor day weekend and camped out on the beach for a night. It was cold, cold, cold (for me)! and then the following day we went to Anne's brother's house for a bbq. it was real fun with lotsa family members including kids-well just one real well behaved one:)- and dogs. Bilis did great and kept her distance from the pool and hot tub! our dog is no water dog!! Anne's family was real nice and it felt like good to be around kind people.

boys swimmin in the Pacific

Besties:) (he's gonna kill me when he sees this)

a little blurry but still nice, San Clemente State Beach, CA. this is where we camped and it just happened to be like quarter mile to Bond's brother-in-law's house.

bilis and her uncle Justin

perty, perty

a little out of orde but who can deny a sunset?

This is sorta funny but reallly just child abuse. i like to refer to it as Buckin Bilis...now she doesnt even do wet sand.

this is the only way she would have it...

The calm after the storm..oh, she still has her eyes on those waves!

my favorite shot EVER!!

This is a black phase coachwhip which is a rare sight! they are normally pink.
You know it wouldnt be a blog w/o me throwing in some work photos:) an d below is my favorite juvenile horned lizard. i see him on the same path to OP Okie every week and my is he growing up quickly:)

OMG its a DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!!!!! this made our trip up to Prescott worth the hour extra traffic we had to deal with:)

these were the coolest moths hangin out at our campsite with their funky nose...wonder what they eat to evolve such a distinct nose?

I actually dont feel 'free' knowing that everyone is carrying a gun! As much as we love PRescott, and as much as it seems more liberal this is what we see....:(

i will leave you with curious cousins:) Bryson was actually real interested in Bilis and Bilis just loves kids. we cannot get overhow friendly she is with them!
I tdoay (friday) off work and Shyam works 4-10's so he is off too! We are heading back up to Prescott for Paul's bday tomorrow. today we will do a hike with the dog and camp out at a new site! i hope you both are well and look forward to talking soon.

DOUBLE RAINBOW!!! WOWWWWW! OH MY GOD, DOUBLE RAINBOW!! Gotta love that guy.
ReplyDeleteYou two travel so good together, I love all your weekend excursions. Camping on the California coastline, awesome. I just feel a little bad for the waterphobic pooch. He really is afraid of water, maybe doing aversion therapy for puppies will help, whatever that is. I totally made that up.
OK, going from snakes and reptiles to babies and doggies was an interesting segue. But it worked! Cute pics.
Yeah, the gun thing is really frustrating because you assume the people who put that up know the contradiction in what they are saying, but then again, they might be totally oblivious. It is very annoying. It's like my Dad being vocal enough to have a negative opinion on any domestic spending by the government, but acts ignorant to the benefits of it. I know he knows we need it, but he chooses to play dumb.
Well take care you guys, enjoy your trip to Prescott. I was wondering if you two had plans for New Years Eve? Let me know, I might be able to scrounge up a plane ticket.

Pretty sure that sounds like the best idea we have heard all year long!!
ReplyDeleteyeah, i couldnt remember what the dbl rainbow guys said-i was hoping you'd catch on-then shyam reminded me, 'what is the meaning of it all?!' :)
i was gonna do another full blog posting of all the signs to all the gun shops up in Prescott and then thought, 'why would i invest so much energy into something i completely disagreed with?
we are out of minutes-my bad- but we would love to discuss the possibiliy of seeing your smiling face while bringing in the new year:)i think they reset on friday so we will call you this weekend!
