The weather here in the NW has been absolutely unusual... there's this weird yellow thing in the sky almost daily, and the ground has this odd solid consistency and lacks the normal puddles and worms. So, in the mindset of getting in shape, enjoying the weather, and making you all miss this place even more, I've gone on a few hikes in the last week. On the WA side of the river, I went to Rodney and Hardy Falls last friday. Then, on Monday, Kim, Mickinzie (her daughter), and I hiked up to Angel's Rest (on the OR side). On wednesday, Kim, Rose (my sis), and I did Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls, which was an awesome 5.4 mile loop. The pics are below...

And, since I promised them, some great shots from the coast a month and a week ago...

Wow, amazing pics bro! And Kim is beautiful! I have to say, your pictures look professionally taken. Nice.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are enjoying the "unusual weather". All those hikes will get you ready for the big Mountain Climb in June. It will be awesome.
I did not think of the fact that when you were to start posting pics of Oregon, it would make me home-sick. Those pictures really make me want to go for a hike. But I know there are no mountains and waterfalls out here. awwww...
Keep up the good posts ansel adams.

yeah taj, great photos man, those all came out really well. those sunset pics on the coast made me homesick for the pacific too. the lure of the ocean... it seems so far away living out here in the desert. i guess its really not that far though.
ReplyDeletewell, i'm glad to see that you're enjoying yourself out there. its always good to see your smiling face.
amanda wants me to reiterate that we're not trying to change our june plans for P-town. she just needs to make sure she's got a new employee trained by that time before she can get the time off work. she's already offered the job to someone and should find out tomorrow what's what.
but we're all about making it out there. its gonna be awesome to see you guys again.
i'ma try to post here ina minute.
peace- shyam
