There was a pretty wicked storm last week. There were 3500 lightening strikes during the storm, and it was actually two storm cells that collided right over yours truly. There were multiple tornado warnings over the course of the night. It's probably not a big enough storm to make a little movie about, but Portland never has weather like this. I guess I missed it.
I went to Raleigh, North Carolina last weekend and spent a couple lazy days drinking beer, bowling and playing pool with my buddies Paul and Kristie. It was pretty much Paul and I drinking like we were 21 instead of 31.
The bowling was pretty ridiculous, Paul had his own bowling ball that had a huge, gaping crack in it, and he still killed me. He got six strikes in a row at one point. The pic on the bottom right shows Paul in his bar room/rec room. There are two taps on the bar, one for him and one for his wife, his and her taps. Love it!

Some shots of me trying to play pool. Eventhough I have not been playing all that much pool in the past year, I thought I did really well. I still got my ass handed to me by Paul. Gotta love all the Virginia Tech gear, even the trim around the walls are orange and maroon.

Paul showed me this amazing video and I have to share it with you guys. Great song too. I'd let the video get a head start before watching it, otherwise it will constantly stop.

Take care guys, hope all is well, drink one for me, etc. etc. :)

I forgot to respond to one of ya on the last post. The girl that hit me with a chunk of ice was not very pleasant. I gave her credit for slinging the ice across the bar and hitting me squarely in the head on the first try. But that was it. To sum up my conversation, I asked what her name was and she said Karen. I asked if that was with and -e or a -y and she said no, a "C". Carin? I kid you not, that is how she said she spells her name. Anyway, she forced her number on me and I did not call. Oh well.

hey, nice storm video steve. you got some good lightening shots there. i went out into the desert with amanda yesterday before sunrise for her job, and we got to see some good storm action too. nothing like lightening, rain and rainbows over the desert, it was pretty cool.
ReplyDeletethat bike video was awesome! that guy's sense of balance and control is just unreal. i really dig that song too, i'd heard it on the radio a couple times but didn't know who it was. thanks for sharing.
