My boss took me driving around the range to Eagle Tank Mt's where there were a ton of petroglyphs and lizards:)

We stayed at Shyam's friend Clay's house which is very eclectic and i couldnt resist taking pictures in the backyard.. but while editing i erased some:(

  1. Hey, looks like you two had mucho fun-o in Rainy California. Sorry bout the rain, bad odds. Did you guys bring a wedding gift? I'm always curious about wedding gifts, I always give cash, or cash-like gifts. But I digress. I'm glad you were able to get out of Dodge and have a fun weekend. It's worth missing the Superbowl, or listening to it on the way back from Cali.

The pics of the petroglyphs are sweet. Are they just random drawings or do they have some exact meaning? I guess if we were to go into the future and excavate a computer and we didn't know exactly what it meant, the little apple on the side would be a petroglyph. In modern times, we would call it an icon. Wow, I'm tired and rambling.

I've been working alot lately and not getting all that much sleep. I did have a sit down with the GM and talked to her about some ideas I had, she wanted me to write them down so she could talk about them at the staff meeting. Well, that is not going to happen, I am not into donating my ideas. So I am not sure exactly how to not be rude, but not give away my "recipe" to improve the restaurant. Much to think about.

Anyway, take care guys, we'll talk soon :)

  2. hmmm in order of appearance-i raced us home and we were able to make a nest and watch the game:), awesome-o! We gave cash since that is what they asked for. They are trying to concieve and cannot do it naturally so they are going for round 2 in vitro. i was told that when you give cash or buy a gift for a wedding that these days it should cover your plate (dinner). I usually round up and since we have been going to weddings together we usually drop a bill ($100)....have you heard something different? i am always curious too, wanting to follow good etiquette:)
The petroglyphs? i wish i knew but i have not looked anything up, i bet if i looked into it i could find info about the people in this area and maybe track something down.
Sounds like you have been working too much! it was good to see that you are getting management shifts though!, besides bartending and serving, since that is where you want to go with this. hmmmm, about the ideas for the restaurant-is it a chain? Cuz with chain restaurants they don't really 'use new ideas'....so i am kinda like hmmmm, we should talk about your ideas though because i always think that you have good ones:) skype date? or phone call? maybe i will just surprise you one of these days:)
